What is anybody meant to really say to this, it's clearly just a post full of mooooan, and whiiiine. If you're done with the game, buy a new game. Or leave it a while until you feel like coming back to smash a few people up in PvP (which you seem to be more into than PvE)

Thing is, this game does not require monthly subscription, so there's no point to threads like this. You can play, or not play....there's no HUGE decision to be made as you're not losing anything by having it on your machine for when you feel like popping on.

I would suggest you find an active guild, or alliance at least. To GvG you don't have to be in those high end guilds that have requirements. You also don't just have to GvG with your guild, as your alliance mates can go with you too Find a guild in a big alliance that enjoy trying things like GvG without the pressure.

I have to say, my guild keeps me playing. Well, that and the fact I always seem to be finding new goals for myself. Maybe you should set yourself a goal and not cry about the fact nobody is going to take your hand and lead you through the game. If you dan't have friends to TA with, go make some. If RA is a pain...see it as a challenge and try to reach your rank (or whatever) goal there despite the fact it's like pulling teeth.

If you want to do more in PvE, do all the Elite ares. See if you can do them on yourself by borrowing other people's heroes. You'll be short a player, but it's good fun setting yourself that little challenge. I just completed UW on my own that way, and though I know it's not hard...I had a very basic team of heroes - no gimmick build - and it was fun.

Trying out different famring builds is fun for me. Not because I want to make loads of pointless loot...but because I like trying to master different builds. I do the same in PvP. Try everything, it doesn't matter if you fail It's fun trying.

And if you find you're making money, set a goal to get all the armor, or a fancy weapon. Do the dungeons a bunch of times to get a great chest drop. It's more satisfying than just buying something.

AB is a good place to try out fun builds. Hell AB is just fun all round. It's not really 'real' PvP...but you get to do something other than beat up monkeys or lizards, etc.

There are a ton of things to do in this game, you just have to open your eyes.

man will these 'oH noes! teh mighty GW is dying! what is there left to do' topics ever stop.

Wait, I don't get it... Guild Wars isn't a game that holds ones interest forever and ever and ever?

Damn... after all the hundreds upon hundreds of games I played since the early eighties, I thought I finally found 'The One'.

I'm so incredibly disappointed now. I'd hoped I'd never have to spend money on another game again.

Bored of reading the same book? Get a new book.

Bored of watching a certain television program? Change the channel.

Bored of having the same lunch meal everyday? Order/cook/Make something else.

Bored of a certain game? Change games.

If you're bored of Guild Wars, if you think it's dead, if you have nothing to do, then people are right by saying it's time for you to move on.

Unless you're like my Grand Father, the definition of the "cranky old man", who continues to do things he dislikes on a daily basis only for the reason to complain about how awful those things are. Yes, he really does this.

Come on, until you've beaten every campaign with every single profession, there is still lots of variety out there for you. And if you have, maybe it's time to move on to something new. I've been playing for about a year now and have only played a ranger and elementalist....

I agree.

Also write erotic fanfiction and recite it in heavily populated areas, or during stalemate PvP matches.

My Ranger is working on Tyrian Cartography
My Mesmer and Necromancer get involved with the Cryer VS Runs.
My Warrior just finished Canthan Guardian.

If you can't find anything to do on GW, then you must have done everything. If not, figure out what you haven't done and try it.

Even then, what every happened to beating games over and over..

Do you know how many times i beat Contra? Neither do I

Final Fantasy VII?
Mario?
Zelda?
Donkey Kong?
even Pitfall? (im starting to show my age)

what if i stopped playing Pong after i hit the ball to both sides of the screen and said "well ive done everything there is to do in this game. Time to quit"

You ask a dumb question, because its not really a question when the answer is obvious. And within this question lies a hidden ulterior motive. That ulterior motive is "Im bored with GW so i thought id complain about it" because i would put a thousand bucks on the fact that even yourself could name off at least a dozen things you have not done yet in GW, but just dont want to do.

I think you should let go of the game.
If it's really that painful for you to find something to do, my honest suggestion would be for you to move on, and do something more fulfilling/productive/creative/etc. Only after I hadn't played in months did I gain perspective on how much time I wasted in game, just wondering what I COULD do to keep playing.

Fill up all your time with sex, education, and friends/family.

I havent done Duncan since the Voltaic Spear farm either, and this was my favorite place in the game. Im in a faction farming Alliance and it is rather hard to find players for PvE, im not leaving my guild because i cant find a group. I think everyone has had ample time to get a VS spear..or ten..give us back our elite mission area.

To OP
Post Update..
Well now there's plenty to do..Go get some books and work on you Legendary Guardian Title ...Again.
